K-pop girl group AOA's management agency has provided an update on legal action against a man who have sexually harassed its member Seolhyun online.
On October 23, FNC Entertainment released an official statement informing that the man has recently charged of six months in prison with two years of probation.
The agency stated, "In April, we had filed criminal charges against a man who continuously sent sexually inappropriate and offensive messages and videos to our artist Seolhyun's personal social media account. As a result, the Incheon District Court recently sentenced the defendant to six months in prison with two years of probation."
FNC Entertainment also informed that the two people who spread maliciously edited photos of Seolhyun were also summarily indicted and are waiting for the court's decision.
The agency further stressed, "We will take strong legal actions without any leniency against all forms of online criminal acts. Also, we will take continuous effort to protect the basic rights of our artists and to improve the problematic online culture."
